Hello everyone! Another week has come and gone, and I’ve got a few things I can let you guys in on. First off, the word count for Black Magnolias is 30,888. Slowly making progress, but if I don’t pick of the pace I’m not going to make my goal of 40,000 words this month. Chapter ten is a pretty important chapter, and I’m doing my best to make sure I get it right.
That being said, I hope to make up for the extra time spent next month. If everything goes according to plan, I am going to use Camp NaNoWriMo‘s April camp to first the novel, and begin devoting myself wholeheartedly to revisions and edits so I can get the book onto shelves by February of next year.
I’ve already begun outlining and jotting down ideas for the second book in the series, White Heart, as well as planning my third book, I Am Water. For now, the third book is being planned like a stand alone novel, but I love the concept, so that might change as I finish my first two books.
For those of you who didn’t see my last post, I did commission the cover art for Black Magnolias, though I haven’t heard anything from the artist. I’ll be getting in touch with him later this week to give him the tag line for the book, and to ask about his progress. Hopefully, I’ll have a cover to reveal soon. Until next week.
