March 2, 2019

Hello everyone, I’m sorry I’ve been missing the last few weeks, but I have several awesome things to update you guys on, as well as tell you all my plans for March.

Let me start off by saying the word count for Black Magnolias is over 29k! I have officially reached chapter ten and my writing goal for February just as the month ended. This month, my goal is 50k. Fingers crossed.

I’ve also began the editing and revision process on the chapters I have written, thanks to the help of a lovely Australian woman named Paige that has agreed to be my critique partner. She is absolutely brilliant and has been such a help with her feedback. Just this week, she and I have exchange three chapters already and edited each. For those considering becoming an indie author, a critique partner is invaluable. Hopefully before the end of March, I’ll have the first ten chapters editor ready.

Probably the most exciting thing that happened this week was commissioning the cover art for the book! I have a super talented friend named Russell – A tattoo artist by trade, but an artist with a pen and paper, too, who has agreed to do the cover art for me. We discussed the details this week, and he is going to get in contact with me when he has it finished. Hopefully, it will be perfect, and I can finally do a cover reveal.

Lastly, I’ll be creating a Facebook page later today so if you guys would like to follow me it would be greatly appreciated. I’ll be adding the link to the homepage sometime this evening, and if you don’t follow me on Instagram, go have a look. Like some stuff, follow. It would really mean a lot to reach 200 followers this month. My audience is growing a little more every day.

Just based on the title, Black Magnolias and the genre (Adult supernatural romance) what do you think the cover will look like?
